SMS Program Information

Program Overview
Modanoa is an all-in-one management platform for private learning centers. Our SMS program delivers transactional notifications to learning center directors, teachers, and parents on behalf of the learning centers that use our platform.
All messages are functional and triggered by activity within the Modanoa platform. We do not send promotional or marketing messages.
Message Types
- Attendance alerts — sent to parents when a student is marked absent or present
- Academic progress updates — sent when a teacher logs a new progress report for a student
- Scheduling notifications — sent to parents and teachers when sessions are rescheduled or changed
- Payment and invoice confirmations — sent to parents when invoices are issued or payments are confirmed
- Staff notifications — sent to teachers when new students are assigned to their sessions
Message Frequency & Rates
Message frequency varies based on activity at your learning center. You may receive multiple messages per day during active periods, or none on days with no activity.

Learning center directors create an account at app.modanoa.com/signup. During signup, directors may optionally provide a mobile phone number. When a phone number is entered, an unchecked consent checkbox appears with the following disclosure, which the director must actively check to opt in:
“I agree to receive SMS messages from Modanoa regarding student updates, scheduling, and administrative alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”
Parents & Teachers
Parents and teachers are invited to the platform by the learning center director. When they access the platform for the first time via their invitation link, they are shown an SMS consent screen with the same disclosure text and an unchecked checkbox. Consent is optional — users can continue without opting in and enable SMS notifications at any time from their account settings.
How to Opt Out
Users can opt out at any time using any of the following methods:
- Reply STOP to any Modanoa SMS message to immediately unsubscribe
- Disable SMS notifications in account settings at any time
Reply HELP to any message for support information.
After opting out, no further SMS messages will be sent unless the user explicitly re-enables notifications or replies START.
Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. All opt-in data and consent records are excluded from any third-party data sharing. SMS messages are transmitted through Twilio, Inc. solely for message delivery.
